Adamas Nexus is a ‘post crisis’ support group for women, and those who identify as women, who have been the recipients of violence, abuse or intimidation (also known as Domestic, Family, and Sexual Violence – DFSV) including:
- Emotional abuse
- Physical Assault
- Verbal Abuse
- Financial Abuse
- Psychological abuse
- Isolation from friends and family
- Sexual Assault
- Stalking
- Spiritual abuse
Adamas Nexus has been set up for women to help each other via shared experience, understanding and support through those days, months and years after the crisis has occurred. We understand that this can be a lifelong challenge, with ups and downs, highs and lows, good times and not so good times. Through shared stories, tools and love, this group will help when dealing with your instinctive responses and not letting them take over again.
At Adamas Nexus, we believe that every woman that has come out the other side of crisis, has that kernel of light, that diamond, within them still – it needs to be unearthed to re-engage their belief, power and worth.
Adamas means ‘Diamond, indestructible, invincible, unconquerable’. Nexus means ‘binding together’ or ‘connection linking two or more things’. We deliberately named the group to show that we believe there is a diamond within all of us. It has been formed over time, under pressure and in challenging conditions. However, it is also buried and needs to be uncovered, bit by bit, gently and with great care to expose the brilliant gem, the shining light, the very core of who you are, and what you can be.
