Fostering a culture of giving creates a more compassionate and supportive world for everyone.

Giving back builds a mindset of gratitude, as well as empowerment and optimism.  It also provides us with a sense of belonging. It sets an example for others and generally makes us feel good (releasing Oxytocin in our brains) which positively affects our happiness. For businesses, it can build a caring company culture, provide a tax break, and demonstrate to employees that there is more than just a focus on the bottom line.

Adamas Nexus is a support group for women who have been the recipients of violence, abuse or intimidation (also known as Domestic, Family, and Sexual violence). There are many prevention and in crisis support services, but there is less ongoing, lifelong support. Adamas Nexus is a self-help non-facilitated peer support group for those who are looking for community, connection and corroboration. There is no advice, counselling or guidance provided during the meetings. Instead attendees share their successes and challenges and provide support to others. Research shows that lived experience is a powerful enabler to drive positive change, growth, empathy, and recovery.

Supporting Adamas Nexus, an Australian registered charity (with Deductible Gift Recipient status) can take many forms. Whether you’re an individual, organisation, or community group, here are several impactful ways to support and raise funds for this vital cause.

  • Monthly Donations. Set up recurring donations to provide consistent support.

Partnerships and Sponsorships

Businesses can sponsor events, provide financial support, or donate a portion of their sales. Individuals and businesses can partner with local organisations, schools, and clubs to support fundraising and awareness efforts.

By sponsoring Adamas Nexus, businesses can demonstrate to their employees that the organisation is conscious of the challenges around domestic, family, and sexual violence and are doing something about it. This may in turn help a business’ employees obtain the support they need to move on from any trauma they have experienced. This has the potential to help them to engage more fully in their lives and relationships, both personal and professional, and in their careers.

Socially conscious leaders consider domestic, family, and sexual violence as factors in workplace safety. By supporting Adamas Nexus, you are not just ticking a box, but helping to improve the quality of life of your employees, building a caring work environment and encouraging better productivity.

Domestic, family, and sexual violence are a collective responsibility. Supporting Adamas Nexus can take various forms, from direct financial contributions and organising events, to raising awareness and corporate sponsorship. By engaging in these activities, anyone can make a significant impact in providing post-crisis support for women who have experienced domestic, family, and sexual violence.

Supporting charities is beneficial for individuals, businesses, and society as a whole. It enhances personal fulfillment, builds stronger communities, improves business reputation, and addresses critical social issues. By fostering a culture of giving, we can create a more compassionate and supportive world for everyone.
